John Casteen IV

I know he lives in Earlysville, VA, so it’s difficult for me to imagine that this visitor (below) to my blog is not him.  Why didn’t Casteen IV sign the letter in support of his buddy, Ted Genoways?

Ted Genoways

Now that the alleged workplace bullying of suicide victim Kevin Morrissey has gone national, I thought I’d provide links here to all of the posts regarding Ted Genoways, John Casteen IV, VQR (Virginia Quarterly Review), and UVA (University of Virginia) that have appeared on my websites over the years.

Smack Down

More than five years ago, I ran an anonymous website called Foetry. It got a little bit of attention: articles in the New York Times, the Guardian, and Boston Globe, as well as cover stories in the LA Times and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Being anonymous had its benefits, but it also [...]

New York Confessional

Unless you count the airports, I’ve never been to New York City.  I’ve spent a few nights in places like Buffalo and Niagara Falls and one week at a camp upstate, but I’ve never set foot in or near the city.  I don’t even really understand burroughs.  Is Brooklyn part of NYC?

Anyway, suddenly things are [...]

Ben Halme

My father-in-law was a very good man.  I last saw him in November when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  We weren’t sure how much longer he had, but we got to see him in Milwaukee, WI, where he was staying with his youngest daughter while getting radiation for pain management.  About a month ago, [...]

Ted Genoways is right

Update: See also a summary of posts about Ted Genoways, VQR, John Casteen IV, and UVA.

Virginia Quarterly Review’s well-paid editor calls me bored and frankly, I am.  After his latest rehash of his one trick, I posted a comment and he attempted to divert attention from the real issue.  It’s a technique I’ve seen him [...]

My Bud Googles

Andy was feeling sorry for me about the Poetry Foundation Googler, so he did some searches of his own. Now that’s a friend!

The screen capture’s hard to read. It says, “www.google.com/search?q=alan cordle rocks the casbah” and “www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=QE6&ei=3aemSpmXI8GcsAbhurCcBg&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=alan cordle put the bop in the bop shu bop”

Poetry losing its Foundation

Someone at the Poetry Foundation doesn’t like me. They keep visiting this site, and as you can see in the screencapture below, opted to search for my name, along with mature words like “asshole” and “dumbshit.”

It could be Travis Nichols who seems to have his grips on the Poetry Foundation’s blog, Harriet. He [...]
